Humans are energetic beings. The more conscious we become, the more we discover how to use Life, Light and Love energy to facilitate our connections. We possess sensory tools, which allow us to not only organize our own experience, but to organize how the experience of others could impact us. Most individuals are unaware of these tools. However, with these tools, we can identify the source of upsets, understand the limits of our partners and create new opportunities to work together as partners. Common Neutral Ground is the unifying framework for Higher Alignment and the implementation of ‘right’ relationships. While many therapists have developed version of the Common Neutral Ground to do their work, Higher Alignment developed this model for conscious individuals to quickly be able to manage many different types of relationships. It is likely that this approach will increasingly be adopted in the Aquarian Age because it is based on equal, peer-to-peer connections. As consciousness becomes more prevalent in organizations, this energetic technology will be adopted to remediate conflicts and promote greater harmony and coordinate individuals with a singular purpose. It is also a process that promotes greater self-reflection as we learn to create a Common Neutral Ground.
What we are seeking are partners we can trust, unify with and operate in a process of conscious communion. By becoming the kind of partner we want, others interested in conscious relationships, will gravitate to us. The most revolutionary thing about Common Neutral Ground is that it allows us to establish boundaries between our experience and others’ so we always know where we stand. The Common Neutral Ground (CNG) allows us to have a personal experience while simultaneously have a shared, transpersonal experience with others. Whenever we need to personally affirm ourselves, we can do so and whenever we need to affirm the relationship, we can do that as well. This means we never need to compromise ourselves to be in a relationship.
Having a Common Neutral Ground facilitates us to organize our experiences so we can focus on what we want to focus on, rather than falsely believing we need to accept others’ experience in its most difficult forms. We do not have to be at the effect of others to understand them, nor, do we need to be hurt just because they are hurting. What Common Neutral Ground does is to allow us to see and hold a larger perspective, so we are not consumed by the experience. We can separate or combine experiences at choice by organizing them energetically in the Common Neutral Ground. The effect of this is to give us more ways to configure the optimum experience to learn the lessons we want to learn. As a result, we can be more responsive to opportunities, rather than fall into reactive, painful patterns.
Most individuals vacillate between disengagement and enmeshment because they cannot find a way to balance their needs with the needs of others. More importantly, we do not know how to shift out of defensive patterns, where we believe we have to impose our perspective on others. Instead, we learn how to hold space for our partners to creatively connect with us so that new possibilities between us can emerge. It is these creative possibilities that make relationships worth having. Otherwise, the relationship is mainly a ‘needs fulfillment program’.
When we learn how to create and hold steady our Common Neutral Ground in all situations, it empowers us to operate from our Wisdom and Truth. We do this through practicing Stillness, Solitude and Silence within ourselves so our conditioning and Defenses do not drive us to act out our fears and desires. We know how to be of service to others, which greatly facilitates our ability to do our Authentic Life Expression. Most importantly, we can recreate the experiences of others, allowing us to unify with them, as we would like. Toward the end of the class, we will be focusing on the three tools of a great Common Neutral Ground, which are: Spacious Presence, Pregnant Duration and Skillful Means.
Spacious Presence is the capacity for us to create space for our selves and others so our experiences are not unconsciously merged and lost. We learn how Thought follows Energy and, how, by creating an open field, new experiences can be generated. Pregnant Duration is the capacity to use concentration skills to alter the experience of Time so that we can create solutions on demand. When we own our purpose, it allows us to draw to us exactly what we need to make a difference in our personal world and the world around us. Skillful Means is the primary way we synthetically integrate our experience so we are naturally guided to do the next best thing.
