Being Our Creative Self
Radiant Self-Unifying Love is any Self reflective or conscious creative engagement with ourselves, others or the world. Whenever we experience an alignment where we Transmute energy, Transform our thinking or Transfigure our Motives, energy is exchanged that is mutually uplifting. We grow when we unconditionally love our Self and others. We then complete, acknowledge, heal and serve our larger possibility. Radiant Self-Unifying Love is the inside-out realization that the act of creative embodiment is not only a gift to others, but a natural gift to ourselves. External pursuits of love deny who we are as a creative expression in the world and end up being personality-driven, conditional expressions of our love. Radiant Self-Unifying Love can be described in seven ways, reflecting the seven creative energies: Aliveness, Wisdom, Creative Being, Stillness, Open Discovery, Silence and Creative Flow. Each Creative Expression has its own contribution. What we end up with is a unified and balanced way of being. These perspectives can also be broken down in terms of the act of creating love (the first three elements—Aliveness, Wisdom and Creative Being), and the deepening and refinement of that love (the next four elements—Stillness, Open Discovery, Silence and Creative Flow).
We know we are operating in a state of Radiant Self-Unifying Love by the effect it has upon those in its sphere. With all experiences of love there is an electromagnetic effect that defines the inner and outer boundaries of what is being engaged. Some individuals experience this as being present to each other in a way that shares their consciousness. Others talk about the sense of alignment and wholeness evoked when doing things together. Still, others claim a tension between the feminine and masculine that shows up as a sense of mystery or mastery. Whatever it is, there seems to be an electric field that defines the space in which co-creation occurs. This space seems to operate outside of time, which is why so many poets speak about the eternal moment when love manifests. Movies, such as ‘Serendipity’, point out that in the space of love, the universe tends to operate in service to a greater opportunity or outcome. We suggest that being conscious about our ability to love is in itself a shift that evokes pregnant possibilities. When we love others, the synergy of our common life purpose begins to show up in new ways we do not necessarily expect.
The act of manifesting our love is internally self-referenced in terms of Aliveness and Wisdom and its appropriate external expression (using our Creative Being). Loving others is a creative act of connecting and contributing. It has the intention to be of value or to operate in a state of goodwill. The more we are connected to our creative source, the less our personality conditioning, defensive programming or idealistic preconceptions get in the way of expressing our love. Remember, it is attachments, positions and projections about love that distort its expression. It is interesting to note that the more simple and direct the intention to love, the more likely it will be fulfilled in the experience with others. The more we are attached to our personality expressions, the more likely the personality expressions of those we are loving will divert the experience. The three conditional forms of love are great examples of how we discount, ignore or disregard demonstrations of love by others. Of course, we attempt to give credit for the effort our partners make by loving us in whatever way they do.
The more we give to others, the more we can allow ourselves to receive (and vice-versa). If we are not engaged in loving ourselves, it becomes difficult to effectively love others. Internally, the act of love always contains an Intent, Context and Content, which are then radiated outward. In other words, there is a commitment to love, a framework that connects the individual with that which he or she loves and the experience of the connection itself, which is the content of the love. Another way to say this is we have to affirm our own Life Energy through an act of will and embrace Aliveness to initiate the act of love. This paves the way to appreciating the nature of this action and the host of opportunities that become possible when we commit to the act (of loving). It opens us up to be nourished by the Universe. The ability to see and reflect on our creative nature produces a Light that guides our expressions of love. We call this sharing of truth Wisdom, which is the Self Reflective element of Radiant Self-Unifying Love. The degree we empower our Life and Light Energy by acknowledging our Aliveness and Wisdom is the same degree we are able to create an experience of love within ourselves (and love others). In this way, any conscious act of love is self-referenced, focused, then reflected back within us before we actually direct it to someone (or others) outside of us.
Aliveness is the assertion of our capacity to make an authentic contribution by showing up. Aliveness typically arises from a deep knowing of our purpose and the acceptance of our capacity to embody our expression with mastery. This state of being is resourceful and (already) exists through all time. While it is commonly viewed in masculine terms, it is a key expression of life energy for both genders. This act of will is often sabotaged by not being clear about our power to make a difference in the world. The more we are confused about our contribution, the less clear and obvious is our need for self-perfection, expressed as an evolutionary purpose. Aliveness operates on every level, which means it is balanced between the masculine and feminine. While it has directive aspects, it is also self-reflective and acknowledges mistakes or learning opportunities quickly. We need to remember that everything is a learning process and therefore we should operate with a sense of balance between acting and listening to ourselves. Fully embodied Aliveness has a built in sense of humility, humor and flexibility. We can sense when something is not working and redirect ourselves on the fly. The key is to keep following our noses to determine what is in full alignment with who we are.
Other challenges to Aliveness reflect how active we are and the sequence of where action falls in our communication process. For example, an Act-Think-Feel individual will have little difficulty expressing their Aliveness, whereas an Act-last individual may find great difficulty doing so. Fortunately, everything in life allows us to practice becoming more Alive. The consequence of not practicing Aliveness is to fall into states of Inertia where we give up and become victims of life. This is the result of inauthentic giving, where life has become a burden too difficult to bear. When we are present in our Aliveness, we realize that we need to give authentically to live. Fully expressed Orchestrator energy teaches us the value of determination in the face of adversity. Orchestrators manifest their Aliveness through a constant diligence about how they show up and express themselves, typically in the constant search for more complete expressions of mastery. Fortunately, we all benefit when we realize that evolutionary development is completely linked to our commitment to be authentic. Let us find the best ways to engage our creative energy so that our natural evolution is fulfilled.
Wisdom is the capacity to create a common experience of mutual understanding. Wisdom is often perceived as a heart-based knowing, which may be indifferent to consequences because it cuts through our fears. At its core, Wisdom operates as an unfolding mystery, which is engaged and revealed in each and every moment (always becoming). It is perceived to be the domain of wise women, but is now in a state of transition because of its adoption by many new age men. With Wisdom and inner Self-reflection comes the ability to distinguish Radiant Self-Unifying Love from its personality-driven alternative, Conditional Love. Making a choice to put our self out for others is not only an act of will, but a sacrifice and a service to them. This is because connecting to others creatively, without pre-conditions, sets our personality up to be hurt or rejected (due to our willingness to be vulnerable). The alternative, to meet others with Protective, Directive, or Quid Pro Quo Love, reduces the possibility of being hurt, but actually confuses the issues so it is much harder to be rejected. Our act of vulnerability creates a higher possible engagement, which leaves us open to be slammed by those who need to put us down. Unconscious individuals frequently trash those who operate with a greater capacity to love. They are instinctively afraid to be at the effect of something bigger than what they can control. Unconscious individuals believe in the reality of conditional love and find it difficult to engage Radiant Self-Unifying Love. They miss a great opportunity to be seen and appreciated as they are.
The power of Radiant Self-Unifying Love is that the individual who chooses to love this way does so because they are complete and self-loving (within themselves). This enables connecting to others without any form of entanglement. Since their energy is shared freely and given without conditions, it helps those with less understanding of Self to get in touch with their Truth. When Radiant Self-Unifying Love is embraced or accepted by another, it brings them into rapport; there is a deep sharing that otherwise would not be possible in conditional forms of love. In this way, Radiant Self-Unifying Love is a service that allows others to develop greater self-reflection; we learn how to easily pass the gift on to others. This kind of sacrifice and service is best demonstrated in fully embodied Server expressions. Servers teach us the differences between unconscious sacrifice, where expectations and the covert need to control others interferes with the intentions discussed between them. The more strings there are attached to sacrifice, the more likely this unconscious conditional form of love will actually inhibit the expression of authentic love. Highly expressed Servers demonstrate how conscious service never has strings attached, which allows the universe to support the process in the best possible manner. This creation of open Context, or Space, where new possibilities can emerge, is the primary indicator that true service is being performed.
Our creative nature is both called forth in this moment and is a reflection of past moments of expression. Creative Being and Becoming are made real through acts of love. The creative act itself is always a joyful one. We know our love is true when we have no attachments to the form that is being expressed. We experience a quickening sense of expansion that relates everything to everything else. Love requires growth to maintain its existence. This is why (in so many relationships) there may initially be the experience of Radiant Self-Unifying Love, but it gets lost or smothered in personality expressions of love because partners are afraid to keep growing. Fears and personality desires place limits on growth that tend to suffocate love, particularly if it is one-sided. The challenge is to learn how to love ourselves independently of others so love is not conditional based on someone’s presence. Radiant Self-Unifying Love is a self-generating internal process that becomes manifested externally when we desire to connect with others in an exalted way. Creative projects, common interests or complimentary life purposes help to make Radiant Self-Unifying Love real.
Each level where we disconnect from ourselves (through inner judgment) reduces the capacity to love our Self, and thus (by consequence) affects our ability to love others. For example, if we do not consider ourselves beautiful or handsome, it creates a fundamental disconnect to our own Aliveness and Life Energy, which reduces our ability to connect in Alive ways with others. Metaphorically, the connection to our Life Energy is referred to in the Bible as pertaining to the father: ‘I and my father are one.’ Another example is when we do not trust our own experience and seek out others’ opinions, then use those opinions instead of creating our own experience of truth; it creates a block to being with the truth of others. Metaphorically, the ability to share our truth is the gift of Wisdom that comes from the mother. Finally, the joining of the masculine and feminine (father and mother) creates what Jesus referred to as the Son in manifestation (or the Sun in manifestation). Jesus Christ, being a tremendous manifestor of Radiant Self-Unifying Love, urged us to eliminate all self-judgments and judgments of others so we could be present with love completely. The experience of love was said to Transfigure him, which reflects he has became something more by being love. In this way, we are always able to go beyond previous manifestations.
Creating our own experience of love has many causes and effects that radiate into the world. When we come from the wholeness of our being and operate with a commitment to serve others, those around us either accept this possibility or run away from it. Each response reflects their capacity to be present in loving themselves. The biggest problem we face in the world is that few have generated their own internal capacity to love because they have not honored their Aliveness and Wisdom (known as Self-Esteem and Self-Respect) in a balanced manner. While we accept the law of cause and effect in our lives in some areas, very few of us see how it plays out in terms of Love. The paradox is that Radiant Self-Unifying Love offers a commitment and dedication to deal with the reactions of those who are not prepared to be loved. For individuals who operate on the personality level, they do not know what to do with unconditional forms of love. Of course, since love itself is an expansive, inclusive expression, there is no need to make conditional forms of love wrong, particularly when Radiant Self-Unifying Love gradually uplifts and eliminates Attachments, Positions and Projections about love.
Fully embodied Implementer Creative Expressions have the perfect non-ruffled way to engage others when they are not able to step up into the full experience of love. Their single-pointed self-focus commonly shows up as being one hundred percent committed. It is interesting how even in the face of adversity, they trust their inner experience over what is acted out by others. This ability to hold forth is a great gift, especially when a partner needs time to understand changing circumstances. Since Implementers really understand cause and effect behaviors, they are able to step into the highest form of love and take the consequences without much dissonance. They are empowered and fortified by the experience of love within themselves and realize that attacks upon them are personality-based. They recognize the transitory nature of the effects of being attacked. They only need to remember the Course in Miracles, which states that what is real can never be attacked, and that which is unreal may hurt, but it also heals.
